What it is, what it costs, who can see what you write, and what to do if you're struggling right now.
What is Pit Stop 30?
Pit Stop 30 is a 30-second daily check-in app for men in the UK going through a break-up or divorce, betrayal, or just a rough patch. You dial in your mood, log your sleep and any drinks, and note one hard thing and one good thing. Over time it shows your mood trends, patterns and what's affecting you most, with weekly and monthly reports.
How much does it cost?
Every feature is free for 7 days. After that it's £5.99 a month or £24.99 for 6 months – the 6-month plan saves 30%, and six months is a good stretch to get back on track. Keep going as long as it helps. Choose the 6-month plan by midday on 16 January 2027 and your first 6 months are £22.49. There are no ads, ever, and no add-ons or upsells – one price unlocks everything.
Is it on iPhone?
Pit Stop 30 is coming soon to Google Play for Android phones. An iPhone version is planned once the Android app has launched – leave your email and choose iPhone, and we'll tell you when it's coming.
Does it help when I can't sleep?
Yes. The night toolkit has calming sounds made for the app – rain, waves, a deep hush and a low hum – with their own volume and a sleep timer that fades out slowly. There's slow breathing, and a place to write down what's going round your head and leave it till morning. The next morning it asks how you slept, so you can see what helps. Who can see what I write?
Only you. There's no account and no Pit Stop 30 server – everything stays on your phone. Nothing you write or record is read by AI. You can lock the app with your fingerprint or a PIN, and backups are encrypted with a password only you know.
Will my partner or ex see it?
Not unless you show them. Nothing is uploaded or shared, and there's no account they could get into. Lock the whole app, or just your journal, with your fingerprint or a Pit Stop 30 PIN – if you share a phone, use the PIN. The daily reminder only says something like "Thirty seconds. How are you really doing?" – never what you wrote.
What if I miss a few days?
No problem. You can fill in missed days afterwards, and one missed day a week won't break your streak. Even a few check-ins a week start to show the pattern.
We're trying to stay together – is it still for me?
Yes. The betrayal path works through stay-or-go over time rather than telling you what to do, with goals for boundaries and rebuilding trust. Relate offers counselling on your own or together, and it's one tap away in the app.
How do I cancel?
In Google Play: tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Pit Stop 30 → Cancel. Cancel during the 7-day free trial and you won't be charged. Cancelling doesn't delete anything – your entries stay on your phone.
Do I have to be going through a break-up?
No. You choose a path when you start – a break-up or divorce, betrayal, or just checking in – and the app shapes its prompts, guides and goals around it. You can switch any time.
Is it therapy?
No. Pit Stop 30 is a self-help app for general wellbeing. It isn't a medical service, therapy or crisis support, and it doesn't diagnose anything. It can make a one-page summary of your mood, sleep and drinking that you can show your GP.
What if I'm struggling right now?
Please talk to someone today. Samaritans are free on 116 123, any time, day or night. CALM is on 0800 58 58 58 (5pm to midnight), or text SHOUT to 85258. If you're in danger right now, call 999. The app's SOS button has these numbers one tap away.
