What Pit Stop 30 does
Pit Stop 30 is a private 30-second daily check-in app for men in the UK going through a break-up or divorce, betrayal, the loss of someone close – or just a rough patch. Android. No ads, no account, and everything stays on your phone.
The daily check-in (30 seconds)
- Rate your mood on a dial, log your sleep, and note one hard thing and one good thing.
- Tag what set you off, if you want.
- Track only what applies to you, each one a quick tap: cutting back on drinking (in UK units), gambling, smoking or vaping, late-night scrolling or takeaways – and doing more exercise and eating properly.
- A daily reminder at a time you choose. Missed days can be filled in later, and one missed day a week won’t break your streak.
Your path
- Pick break-up or divorce, betrayal, losing someone, or just a rough patch. The plan, prompts, guides, goals and support change to fit – and you can switch any time.
- Separated dads can say the kids are involved. That adds help with handovers, co-parenting and child maintenance, a guide for dads, and dads’ support.
A plan that keeps going
- Days 1–30: one small step a day, about five minutes.
- Weeks 5–26: one step a week, up to six months, then a look-back at how far you’ve come.
- After six months: a monthly pit stop for as long as it helps. Each one is picked from how your month went – if mood, sleep or a habit has slipped, that comes first, and if you’re still struggling it points you to your GP and real support.
- Focus tracks, any time: two weeks on one thing, one step a day – sleep, cutting back, getting fit, confidence and money, plus dating again, co-parenting or the hard dates after a loss.
- A “Your plan” page always shows where you are and what’s next.
See what’s really going on
- Mood trends, streaks and patterns, like “Sundays are your hardest day” or “heavy nights cost you the next day”.
- How your habits and exercise show up in your mood, and the money you keep.
- Weekly and monthly reports on what’s helping and what’s dragging you down.
- A short PDF summary to show your GP or counsellor.
- Milestones, matched to your path and to what you actually track.
Help when it’s hard
- A Rough moment button with guided breathing, panic attack help, and your own plan for bad days.
- A night toolkit: sleep sounds with their own volume and timer, slow breathing, and somewhere to get it out of your head. The next morning it asks how you slept.
- Tools for your head: worry time, a thought check, and “one small thing” for low days.
- An urge timer, a no-contact counter, and unsent messages (called “Write to them” on the grief path).
- UK helplines one tap away – Samaritans and CALM, drinking and gambling support, bereavement support such as Cruse, and help for separated dads.
- Mates one tap away, with ready-made messages.
Moving on
- Small goals with progress bars.
- Practical checklists: one for money, home, kids and legal steps, or one for after a death.
- Short, plain-English guides.
- A private journal (written or voice notes) and letters to future you.
Private by design
- No account and nothing uploaded. No AI reads your entries.
- Fingerprint or PIN lock for the whole app or just the journal.
- Backups only you can open.
